Gwyn's confirmation class took a field trip to the National Cathedral in Washington DC. This is a very amazing building with extraordinary things everywhere you look. The building itself is massive and reminded me of some of the cathedrals in Europe I've visited. There just aren't a lot of things like this in the US. The stained glass are just amazing. It would take hours of staring and studying to take them all in. We also got to attend the mid-day service and take communion in one of the chapels. It was a very small, but lovely service. I am so thankful that Gwyn (and all of us too) are getting this experience!
