Some friends of ours got a skating party deal at the skating rink in Hanover, so we got to go skating! Lyla was super nervous for some reason. She has skated before, but she usually sticks near the wall or stays on the carpet unless she's holding someone's hand. But we convinced her it would be ok. Gwyn was excited to wear her new roller blades, and Celee wanted to try to skate backwards, so we were all syked. They had the pvc push cart things for learners though, so she got out on the floor with no big trouble. She also had a friend there to hang with, so Lyla had a good time skating or not.
She even got brave, ditched the cart, and let go of my hands a few times!
I always forget that I love to skate. I don't know why we don't go more often! There is a skating rink really close to our house, and all kinds of rinks have homeschool skate times periodically. And Celee got roller blades for her birthday, so now they both can skate like pros.
