Pickin Strawberries

We have been crazy busy and I didn't think we'd have time to go picking anything this June.  But I was determined!  So after I got off work, we had a little over an hour to kill before we had to pick up Gwyn and head off so we went out to Baugher's.  It's always a dice game as to how many strawberries we try to get.  There's a sweet spot where you've picked enough to get a lower price per pound, but not so much that you can't actually do something with them all or spend too much trying to save a little.  Well, we were .5 lb under the amount needed for the lower price when we got up to the register.  There is no scale out in the fields so you don't know for sure until you get back when it's too late to go get more.
Oh, well.  We had fun and the girls did pick a lot of deliciouso strawberries.  And hopefully we will find the time to make jam, and freeze the rest.  :)
