Wedding Fun

We set off on our very long car ride to Destin Florida last Saturday. We actually didn't stop very often at all and made it in 16 1/2 hr.  Along the way we discovered that people in Georgia take their video games very seriously.  Until they go out if business I guess.  This abandoned castle stands as a witness to someone's dedication to gaming in Nowhere, Georgia.
Anyhoo, we got to the condo and this was our view the first morning.  It was amazing!  And the house itself was just over-the-top.  Four floors of high ceilings, duplicate appliances, bathrooms galore, tv's everywhere they could be placed or mounted, and a spectacular beach.  It was like a house from MTV Cribs. ( Does that still come on?)
The weather was warm, but the water was chilly.  That didn't stop the girls though.  They got to try out the kayaks and boogie boards.  They found shells and built castles.  We got to see sea slugs up close.  What a weird creature!

Doesn't this look like a postcard? I don't know if it shows up, but there is even a sailboat crossing in the background too.
We ate out at the Back Porch.  So much yummy seafood!  We all pigged out on shrimp!
We sort of "rehearsed" for the wedding.  This wedding was really laid back though so mostly we just played.  The girls had a dance party in the pool room.  Many cartwheels and other less-than-successful flips were attempted.

The day of the wedding we all got down to business.  The sand was meticulously ;) smoothed out for the bridal party.  The boys got spiffy in their suits.  Look at that handsome man!  And the girls got all pretty and braided. I didn't get many pictures from the wedding as I was disposed at the time, but afterwards everyone just kind of hung out talking and taking the real photos until it got dark and chilly.

Aren't they a sweet couple!
After the dinner we all moved inside because a cold front literally blew in.  Then it was dance party time!

This wedding was the most fun one I've ever been in.  It so suited Jon and Sarah! It really was just like a big party for their family and friends.  It was beautiful, but in a non-contrived way.  It was beautiful just because the place was beautiful and the people were happy. Of course the dresses and decorations were beautiful too!  I hope it marks the beginning if many many joyful years of marriage for Jon and Sarah!  You guys are awesome and we are so glad we got to be a part of your special day!
